Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH)

Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH) is a Public University in the Lower Saxony, Germany. Horticultural Science at LUH is the largest group of horticultural institutes in Germany. There are six institutes and numerous working groups, conducting highly specialized and systems-oriented research and teaching in the challenging field of horticulture. Research questions ranging from molecular genetics to field-scale production constitute the focus of investigations. Department Horticultural Science offers B.Sc. and M.Sc. and PhD programs in Horticultural Science, Plant Biotechnology and International Horticulture. A dense network has been developed between the scientists from Hannover and East Africa. As an offspring of this activity, the Horticultural Association of Kenya was founded so that the horticultural scientists have a platform for regular scientific exchange in the region.
